How NoteForge Works

A simple 4-step process that transforms your bulky class PDFs into compact, print-optimized notes.

1

📤 Upload Your PDF

Drag and drop or browse to upload your class notes PDF. Supports any PDF with slide-based content — lecture recordings, handwritten notes, presentations.

Supports files up to 100 MB. Your file is processed locally and deleted immediately after — no data is stored on our servers.
2

📑 Select Page Range

Choose which pages you want to stitch. Need only pages 5-20 for tomorrow's exam? Just enter the range — no need to process the entire PDF.

Leave "To Page" empty to process till the last page. Page numbers correspond to the original PDF slide numbers.
3

🎨 Smart Processing

NoteForge automatically trims unnecessary whitespace from the sides of each slide, maximizing content area. If color inversion is enabled, dark backgrounds become white — saving up to 80% ink.

What happens under the hood:
• PDF pages converted to images at 200 DPI
• Horizontal whitespace detected via column-wise pixel analysis
• Colors inverted using PIL's ImageOps.invert()
• Each slide scaled to fit a 2×2 grid on A4 landscape

⬇️ Preview & Download

Preview the first few pages of your stitched PDF right in the browser. Happy with the result? Hit download and print directly — optimized for A4 landscape printing.

Output is a high-quality 300 DPI PDF. Each page contains 4 slides in a 2×2 grid layout. For a 80-slide PDF, you get ~20 printed pages instead of 80!
